Theater Classes

Company Classes

At K.O. Performing Arts, our theater classes are divided into Companies by age group. As students grow and build their skills, they advance to the next Company level. Each Company works on age-appropriate material while learning foundational and advanced techniques through guided performance training.

Little Stars Company (Ages 3–5)

Our youngest performers explore the world of theater through creative play, movement, and musical storytelling. This class builds confidence, imagination, and social skills in a joyful environment. No experience needed—just curiosity and enthusiasm!

Junior Company (Ages 6–8)

Students begin developing their stage presence through structured activities in acting, singing, and ensemble work. Classes include performance games, beginner vocal exercises, and short scenes to introduce character and story development.

Star Company (Ages 9- 11)

Star Company is the perfect class for performers to build confidence, creativity, and stage skills in a fun and supportive environment. Students will explore the fundamentals of musical theater—singing, acting, and dancing—through age-appropriate scenes and songs from popular musicals. Perfect for kids who love to shine on stage or are just beginning their performing arts journey!

Broadway Company (Ages 12-18)

Our most advanced age group. Students dive deeper into theater technique. They work on scenes and songs from full-length musicals, practice acting through song and dialogue, and explore staging and choreography. This Company prepares students for larger roles and more formal performances.

What are Theater Arts Classes?

Theater arts classes combine the three pillars of performance—acting, singing, and movement—into a dynamic, skill-building experience for kids. Unlike traditional drama classes that focus solely on acting, our program gives students the tools to become confident, well-rounded performers. Whether your child dreams of Broadway or just wants a place to express themselves, our theater arts classes nurture creativity, discipline, and self-esteem.

What Students Will Learn

Every student, no matter their age or experience level, receives training in:

  • Vocal technique and breath support

  • Acting through song and dialogue

  • Improv and performance games

  • Stage movement and choreography basics

  • Collaboration and ensemble building

These skills help children not only on stage, but in school, social situations, and future creative pursuits.

Performance Opportunities

Performance is a core part of our program. Students participate in:

  • In-class presentations to build comfort on stage

  • Mid-session showcases to track progress

  • A final live showcase performance, where every student takes the stage in front of family and friends

These performances give kids a sense of pride, purpose, and accomplishment—whether it’s their first time on stage or their tenth.
